Thursday night we had a very bad storm come through our area. Keith (my brother-in-law who is a meteorologist in the air force) confirmed we had a tornado touch down (which is obvious through these pictures). It was very noisy and terrifying. The storm came without warning. No rain or anything. The power went out, the rain and hail came, the wind whistled off the house, and we could hear a terrible constant rumbling sound. I ran upstairs in the pitch black (tumbling over baby gates), grabbed Addisyn, and fell down the stairs with her. Did I mention it was really really dark? Addisyn slept through all of it! We hid in the bathroom downstairs and could hear stuff hitting the house, trees breaking, and that horrible constant rumbling sound! Here are some pictures from the aftermath. In the morning we could see the path where the tornado traveled. It started in our front yard and traveled across the street and down the road. It continued down the main drive in Cedar Grove (Dave's neighborhood which is across the road from our neighborhood).
Saddlewood (our neighborhood)...

People were out all night clearing the roads- we could hear the chain saws. It was unbelievable! This is after the road was cleared...

Dave's house in Cedar Grove (from driving around it appears that this is wind damage from the storm. It looks like the tornado came down the main drive in his neighborhood)...

We will post again soon!
