Stone Mountain Park, the Georgia Aquarium, and Dance!

This past weekend we headed to Stone Mountain Park, camped, hiked the mountain, rode the shuttle, visited with family, and took advantage of the campground playground & pool. Sunday, before we departed from GA, we went to the Georgia Aquarium and Addisyn wore herself out for the car ride home :) Here are a few pics from our eventful weekend...




















Addisyn is participating in a summer ballet/gymnastics class at Fever Dance Productions. Here are a few pics from her last class, and a few pics of her new leotard...













On another note, Addisyn finished her 20 hours of reading for the Summer Reading Program through the library. She received her certificate and a little prize (a water bottle)!

Lake Lure/ Chimney Rock

This past weekend we headed to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock for some shopping, family visiting, and great meals at some fancy restaurants :) The babies had some fun at "the beach", down by the river, and exploring the hotel room (we stayed at the Falls Country Motel- which actually had a view of the waterfall). This trip gave us a chance to get to know Brenda and Joel (my mom's cousin and her son), and to spend some time with Kyle before he leaves for the Air Force. Anyways, here are a few pics from our trip...

**Due to my car not starting this morning, I am finally able to update the blog :) Poor Addisyn was all strapped in the car and ready to go to story time and then the car wouldn't start. She said "Go car!" She was quite distraught when I pulled her out of the car and we headed back in :(

Kidsenses Museum, Biltmore, a Birthday Party, and 4th of July!

I am long over due for an update on here! Last Friday (July 2nd) we took Addisyn to the Kidsenses Museum in Rutherfordton (very nice, but not as big as the Marbles Children's Museum in Raleigh). After a few hours there, we headed to Biltmore (we bought 12 month passes) and showed Addisyn the very large house, the beautiful gardens, and the fluffy animals at the Antler Hill Village farm. On Saturday (July 3rd) Addisyn attended her first non-family birthday party. Her friend, Canaan, celebrated her birthday at Lineberger Park, where they enjoyed a nice train ride and some splash time in the water. On Sunday (July 4th) we had a nice visit with Brian's side of the family, then headed to my parents for a spectacular firework show! Here are pics from our busy week...
