Only 4 Weeks Left!

Wow! It is hard to believe that we only have 4 weeks until Addisyn arrives (or maybe sooner if she is nice and does not have to be induced). Today's OB appointment consisted of the wonderful GBS test (yuckie), a weigh-in, blood pressure, and a measuring. Today Lindy measured 35, (compared to 31 just 2 weeks ago). Addisyn was enjoying Lindy's extra sweet pancake breakfast with a heart rate of 165 bpm :) The doctor said Addisyn is in the head-down position (a very good thing) and this might be part of the reason for the extra need to go pee all of the time. The doctor also gave Lindy a slip to go back to the lab and have more blood work. She wants to make sure Lindy's blood count is higher than the 10.8 it was last time (hopefully we won't have to take anymore iron supplements). Today we went by South Lake Pediatrics to sign up to meet with the pediatricians there. We have an appointment with them next Friday (June 6th) at 8:00am. The OB said we should start deciding on a pediatrician because it won't be long before Addisyn arrives. We will be seeing the OB every week from here on out. Our next OB appointment is on Thursday, June 5th (and we will go to the lab before our appointment for that blood work). We will post again soon!

Brian was accepted to NC State!

Today Brian received a letter that he has been accepted to NC State's graduate school. He will begin taking classes this fall to get his graduate degree in GIS :) NC State offers an abundance of courses online, so Brian can attend from home. Anyways, we have been doing a lot of yard work this week, which is quite tiresome since it has been in the 80s! Our yard needed a little TLC and since we had some free time we figured it would be a great time to get it done. Our next OB appointment is on Friday, so we will post again after that.

Our "Babymoon" at Chimney Rock

We took one last vacation before the baby arrives! The doctor said we can't travel after the month of May, so we headed up to Chimney Rock on our "babymoon". We stayed at the Chimney Rock Inn, which is advertised as being riverfront. Though it is not riverfront, the outside of it is very cute. We were slightly disappointed by the size and view: *Watch the video*, but we had a blast eating at every cafe in Lake Lure, shopping, eating fudge (peanut butter fudge of course), and gem mining. We were not ready to come back! {Quick "thanks" to Lindy's Mom and Dad for checking on the animals while we were away} We will post again soon!

We got our Bachelor's Degrees!

Graduation was a great event! It lasted a little over 2 hours and the Halton Arena was packed with people. Our parents took some pics of the event and of our graduation party afterwards. We just want to say thanks to everyone who came to graduation, or who came to celebrate with us afterwards, or who was with us in thought :). We are so blessed to have such wonderful families and friends. Here are a few pics of our big day:

Graduation Party

We are graduating on Saturday! We will be having a little graduation party at our house at 4:00pm Saturday afternoon. Feel free to come by and eat some cake! It is also Lindy's Dad's birthday, so we will have a birthday cake as well :) Hope to see you there!
