Mexico Driver's Licenses Aren't Valid in NC???

Imagine that! The State of North Carolina doesn't recognize Mexico's driver's licenses! Yeah I was sitting at a red light and got rear-ended by a construction truck. Next thing I know, the cop is saying "Sir the State of North Carolina does not recognize Mexico driver's licenses. You need to get a valid license if you are going to drive in this country." Aahh! The owner of the vehicle does have insurance, so I am blessed there :) Anyways, Addisyn is getting so big! She is so mobile now. Unfortunately we have all been kind of sick over here (the runny nose, cough, etc thing)- poor Addisyn can't blow her nose and gets very unhappy at the sight of the nose bulb (boogie sucker what ever you call it!). Christmas cards are going out tomorrow, so look for yours in the mail this week- we had pro pics taken, so you can check them out. There is one pic of all 3 of us and Addisyn has a bubble in her mouth reflecting- you will probably see it :) Here are a few pics and videos:

Thanksgiving with the Family

Thanksgiving was wonderful once again! Aunt Denise made the best dishes ever! (Thanks Aunt Denise!). It was fun getting to visit with everyone and enjoy some time off of work. Thanksgiving Day Addisyn turned 5 months old! Where is the time going? Below are some pics and an awesome video! We will post again soon.

Addisyn has been able to scoot around and semi-crawl for a while now, but today she really started crawling. She is so excited about her new skill that she does it all the time. When you try to hold her she pulls her knees up and pushes, when you try to put her down for a nap she pops up quickly to test out her new found talent, and when you try to lay on the couch with her she will crawl right over you! The past 4 1/2 months have been quite the learning experience for us. Before Addisyn arrived the pediatrician said, "The baby will teach you everything you need to know about being a parent." This is very true :) Books cannot describe the joy you get when your baby laughs at you, cries for you, or just wants to be held by you. Addisyn is experiencing stranger anxiety now. Many parents dread this stage, but in a way it is kind of satisfying to know that your child misses you and that they need your safety and security. However, yesterday Addisyn had professional pictures done. She was not happy with the photographer holding her or touching her or even looking at her. The second the photographer picked her up, the lip poked out and she began to scream. We managed to get a few good shots, but not as many as we would have liked. Well we will post again soon!

We Have A 13 Pounder!

And no we are not talking about a turkey (though we can't wait til Thanksgiving)- we are talking about our baby. On Tuesday she went for her 4 month well check. She weighed in at 13 pounds 12 ounces and was 24 3/8 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for both! It was sad seeing her get her immunizations, but she nursed immediately after and calmed right down. She is having professional pics taken next Saturday, so look for them in your Christmas card! We will post again after Thanksgiving!
