Time for an update!!

We have been busy busy around this joint! From beauty pageants to hospital visits we have been there and done that! Here are some pictures:

Addisyn LOVES arts 'n crafts :) Here she is creating some masterpieces!

If you don't know this, we got some chickens!! In addition to planting 10 fruit trees and expanding our garden 4 fold, we built a coup and got 4 chickens :)

This is one sweet little boy :)

No he is not eating a waffle, he is teething on it! Put it in the deep freezer and then he can chomp down for a good 5 minutes without having to worry about it coming apart. This is a simple fix to teething pain.

Addisyn LOVES playing "horse show" with the horses that Great Grandpa Cawein gave her :) On another note, Grandpa C suffered 2 falls, a heart attack, stroke, and seizure this past week. He had 2 stents put in and has finally been discharged! All the while his house was stolen from twice! The perpetrator even changed his deadbolts!! The police did get fingerprints and DNA, so hopefully he will be caught!

Addisyn competed in the Easter on Parade Pageant a few weeks ago. She had fun, but said it was boring and she would rather do something else! She was the runner up :)

He has some beautiful blue eyes!! On another note, Addisyn almost killed Caleb today!! She was on her playground in the toy room and jumped off it landing directly on top of Caleb's head/neck (he was on the floor crawling around). At first he didn't move, but then he began screaming! He wouldn't move his head or arms, so I rushed him to the Dr. Thanks the Lord he is okay and is only suffering from a pulled muscle! The poor thing has been stepped on and trampled before by his big sister, but this was MUCH worse (if you would have seen it you would understand why I freaked out!!) On a positive note- he weighs 15 pounds 11 ounces at 5 1/2 months old (up from 6 lbs 6 oz at birth)- Can't believe he will be 6 months old on May 1st!!

I know this is wrong on many levels, but Addisyn did want a sister!! Caleb does make a cute girl :)

Bear went in for his annual shave. We sent him to the Happy Dog Cafe in Belmont and he had a great time...

PS I am flying with the kids to Saint Louis to visit Kari and her family in May!!! Poor hubby has to work and doesn't get to come :( I will post lots of pics from our visit!

Spring is in the air- or we wish it was! Brr it's cold!

I haven't updated the blog in a while, so I have quite a bit to talk about! The kids are doing great. Finally able to somewhat "play" with each other. Caleb and Addisyn follow each other around on the hardwoods (Caleb in his walker and Addisyn on her scooter or riding the giraffe). Caleb was 14 pounds 6 ounces at his appointment a week ago- pretty good considering he was 6 pounds 6 ounces only 4 months ago! Did I mention that he is exclusively breastfed too? ;)

We had our semi-annual dental cleanings a week and a half ago. Addisyn was such a big girl! She let them clean her teeth and she had no cavities. She wrote her name on the "Cavity Club" sign! She has such a big personality and quite an opinion about everything!! She is incredibly smart too! Addisyn will be in her first beauty pageant next Saturday (I will post pics!). It was her idea, so we thought we would let her try it out.

Caleb is a very happy baby. Those first few weeks were rough- he had really bad colic, but he is very laid back now. He occasionally fights with gas, but it's nothing like it used to be! He has a big smile and big blue eyes that melt my heart!

My beautiful little girl! I told Addisyn, "I love you soooo much. You will always be my little girl." She replied, "I love you too. You will always be my big mom." ha ha!
