We spent the last week in April (4/23-4/30) in Kitty Hawk, NC where we rented a very nice beach house. We explored the Outer Banks, biked, visited museums, visited the aquarium, found parks, built sand castles, ate sand (oh wait that was just Addisyn), and worked on a base tan (oh wait that was just me). My pictures on here are all out of order, but you can see that we had a really good time:

Abuse Prevention Council Award Ceremony
On Thursday, April 21st we attended the Abuse Prevention Council, Inc of Cleveland County's Volunteer Award Ceremony at the Shagreen Nursery and Arboretum. I have been a volunteer with the APC since August 2010 and this gave me an opportunity to meet some of the other volunteers. I was introduced to the APC through school, but decided to stay on as a volunteer after I finished the class. Here are a few pictures from the event...
The Shagreen Nursery and Arboretum in Shelby has a wide variety of plants and trees. They are very reasonably priced and do not charge sales tax (since everything is grown on their property). If you are looking to add some plants to your lawn or garden I highly recommend checking them out!

Easter is right around the corner...
Oh yes, Easter is right around the corner and we are excited about it! Addisyn went to her first "real" egg hunt at Monkey Joe's on Friday. She collected 3 eggs ;) Her preschool is having an egg hunt on Monday and Tuesday, so she will be a pro by next weekend. Anyways, here are some pictures from the past week...
Meagan and D got married today (Saturday). The wedding was very nice, but my camera died after only 2 pictures! Here is what I got though...
