Can't wait til Thanksgiving!

The weeks just seem to be flying by! Halloween is over and now Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are on the way! Thanksgiving is a holiday we look forward to. Its a time to relax, visit with family, and reflect on all the things we are thankful for. Anyways, Addisyn is officially 4 months old, so we had to take some pictures (like the 800 we got developed is not enough) lol. We will post again after Addisyn's 4 month Dr. appointment.

Almost 4 months old!

It is hard to believe she is almost 4 months old (just 1 more day!) Addisyn has her 4-month baby visit at the Pediatrician's on November 11th- she has to have more immunizations :( This week has been a learning experience for all 3 of us, as Addisyn is learning to eat rice cereal and we are learning how to feed a baby with a spoon! Here are some recent pictures:

Last night Addisyn slept from 9:30pm to 5:45am- what a wonderful night! It felt good to wake up well-rested. The past few weeks have been pretty tough. She's been waking up every 2 or 3 hours all night- we talked to the pediatrician and she suggested we go ahead and start the rice cereal because it might help keep her more full at night. We feed her once a day- right before bed- with a spoon. That way she can be extra sticky when she goes to bed :) Well we will post again soon!

Who's a big girl?

Addisyn! Gosh it is hard to believe that she has been in this world for 3 months! She is growing and changing every day. Her little personality is not so little anymore :) She is full of smiles, grunts, noises, laughs, and even fake burps and fake cries- yes that is correct- fake burps and cries. She know when we are trying to burp her and sometimes she will just make the sound for us. Also, she knows that we respond to her cries quickly, so sometimes she will fake cry just to see our reactions. She is so precious! She loves scooting around in her walker and jumping in the jumper- she loves throwing her toys and watching us pick them back up (she is learned cause and effect)- she loves baths, she loves when we sing to her, and she still loves being cuddled and rocked. At church today, she slept through the entire sermon- sleeping on Grandpa's belly (Brian's dad)- she is such a cuddle bug!

Today Addisyn crawled for the first time! It was not just scooting (where she kicks her arms and legs and slides her body around dragging her head in the process). Today she had her head lifted up and she was pushing her knees into the mattress and pushing- it was truly crawling! She still has some work to do on her new found talent, but it was very exciting for her parents :) She certaintly is working on independence!

Officially 3 Months Old!

Yesterday (the 27th) Addisyn turned 3 months old! Gosh they grow so quickly. It seems like we were just telling people we were expecting! Anyways, here are a few pics of Addisyn burning off some energy in the jumper before church this morning! Addisyn stayed in church with us and slept through the whole thing- We sat with Brian's Dad and Addisyn gave him a few smiles, coos, and laughs before falling asleep!

Addisyn loves "attempting" to walk in her walker (but her feet don't quite touch the ground). She loves walking with Daddy's help (like in the video above). She love picking up her rattle, hitting things with it, and putting it in her mouth. She loves pushing the buttons on her stationary play seat and watching the lights light up (as you can see in the video). She is full of smiles, laughs, and coos. Her little personality is really coming out! We will post again soon!

Weekend Vacation :)

After work on Friday we headed down to Georgia. We spent the weekend with the Robertsons (Brian's Aunt/Uncle and cousins) where we ate real home-cooked meals. Yum! We were sad to head back on Sunday, but it was nice getting away for the weekend. Addisyn learned to laugh, though sometimes it scares her :), but it is precious! 10 1/2 weeks old and 10 1/2 pounds... ...

Yesterday Addisyn went for a well baby checkup, where she received a whole series of immunizations. She was not happy about the shots, but mommy came to her rescue and let her nurse for comfort afterwards, which calmed her down almost immediately. She weighed 10 lbs 9 1/2 oz and was 22 3/4 inches long :) - sorry if the title to this blog was misleading, it just flowed a little better. Anyways, she is growing so fast! She is wearing almost all 0-3 month outfits now and she fits in the size 1 diapers nicely! Her next appointment is the second week in November (actually it may be on Veteran's Day)- we will post when it is later. More videos/pics to come soon!
